Garlitrin 4000

Garlitrin 4000 is a standardized garlic extract, providing the equivalent of 4 grams of fresh garlic in one tablet. This quantity is exactly what is recommended by the German Commission E as a daily intake to enjoy the benefits of garlic at the utmost. 

Every tablet offers at least 5 mg allicin, garlic's most beneficial component. 

• Garlic's active component, allicin, is a volatile one. It easily decomposes, making it impossible to market any preparation with allicin. For this reason allicin's precursor molecule is kept intact within every tablet.
• This precursor substance is called alliin, and turns into allicin through the action of alliinase (a functional protein or enzyme). Through a Swiss patented process alliinase is inhibited to make any contact with alliin in the tablet, preventing it's conversion into the volatile allicine. Only upon reaching the gut the tablet decomposes, after which alliin meets alliinase to give rise to this beneficial allicin.

Special coating (enteric coating) ensures that the tablet only disintegrates when in the gut. In this manner, your breath smells less to garlic.
