Probiotic Pearls Acidophilus

The probiotics from Probiotic Pearls® are encapsulated in a protective pearl. This pearl assures that virtually all probiotics remain uninjured and healthy to colonize in the intestine. Probiotic Pearls® is a blend of two sorts of beneficial bacteria: Lactobacillus acidophilus and Bifidobacterium longum.

The pearl consists of three layers, a genuine technological breakthrough!

Layer 1: neutral oil blend - The heart of the pearl consists of a paste of probiotics in oil, the oil mixture is composed of palm oil, glycerin and lecithin. Within this paste survival of the probiotics is at the utmost.

Layer 2: moisture absorbent encapsulation of gelatin and pectin - The beneficial bacteria feel only at ease in an environment that is poor in oxygen. When exposed to oxygen from the air, these bacteria are weakened and die. That is why the bacterial paste from Probiotic Pearls® is encased within gelatin and pectin.

Layer 3: acid-resistant coating - Many probiotics are destroyed during gastric transit. This is different with Probiotic Pearls® since the outer layer of the pearl resists to acid juices.
